Progress in the UMI
In an effort to understand the growth mechanics and improve the material quality of InGaN alloys, a key material in light-emitting diodes (LEDs), laser diodes (LDs), and solar cells, the team of Dr. Ougazzaden in collaboration with Gilles Patriache’s team ( LPN-CNRS) developed a new method that quantifies the chemical information “coded” in HAADF-STEM images and produces precise mappings of the chemical composition of compound semiconductor alloys at the nanometer scale. L’innovation à l’épreuve des peurs et des risques
L’Office Parlementaire d’Evaluation des choix scientifiques et Technologiques (OPECST) a organisé le 26 mai 2011 une audition publique autour d’une étude liée aux innovations futures. Visit of Mr. Charles H. Rivkin at GTL
On October 20, 2011, Georgia Tech Lorraine has been honored to welcome His Excellency, Mr Charles H. Rivkin, US Ambassador to France. His visit started with a welcome and a Presentation of GT-Lorraine. Nano4m project
Nano4m, which involves four regions and twelve partners, whose UMI GT-Lorraine, aims at improving strategies and building networks to design nanotechnology for market. The project tackles some of the challenges identified in relation to the functioning of the regional innovation systems with the following objectives:
To improve the regions’ capacity to shorten the gap between R&D and market testing new Research-to-Market processes (R2M)
