Innovative materials
This research area represents a strategic new direction for the UMI. Projects related to electrical and computer engineering and mechanical engineering take advantage of complementary strengths and synergies that exist between the staff of Georgia Tech, FEMTO-ST, LPMM, ENSAM, LMOPS and Supélec.
The research in this area falls within the domains of nanotechnology and materials, is strongly supported by funding bodies in Europe, France and the USA, and has been designated a research priority in the Lorraine region. Specific research topics are as follows.
